About Pepaa
In the tranquil village of South India, where the rustling leaves and the gentle flow of the river narrated stories of a simpler time, a silent revolution was unfolding. Here, amidst the lush greens and vibrant landscapes, Pepaa emerged as a beacon of hope and innovation, changing the course of stationery, one seed at a time.
The journey of Pepaa began with two visionary souls, Divya Shetty and Vishnu Vardhaan, who held honesty, sustainability, and empowerment at the core of their endeavor. They had a dream, nurtured with the essence of their surroundings, to create something that would resonate with the heartbeat of the Earth itself. With unwavering determination, they embarked on their mission, and thus, Pepaa was born – a transformation of what was once Plantcil, a transformation as profound as the seeds they sowed.
Their passion caught the attention of many prestigious platforms, and their voices resonated on Tedx, INKTalks, and JoshTalks stages. But they were not just speakers; they were doers, embodying the principles they spoke of. Their efforts garnered recognition, as they were honored with the Best Environmentalist Award by the Entrepreneurs Council of India. A testament to their dedication was the Mahatma Gandhi Award for Changemakers, bestowed upon them by Shanti Ashram and Rotary, sealing their place as champions of change.
But Divya and Vishnu knew that true transformation was never a solitary journey. It was a symphony of minds and hearts working together. They acknowledged their team, the driving force behind their silent revolution. They celebrated the strength of unity – from the 800+ organic farmers who stood with them, to the 100+ resilient women who found empowerment as rural homepreneurs. And in a world where voices often go unheard, they uplifted the marginalized, with 78% of their workforce being women, each a symbol of determination.
Pepaa's roots spread far and wide, and their mission was not just about creating stationery; it was about creating a world where sustainability danced in harmony with aesthetics. Their products were an answer to the Earth's plea, a pledge to leave behind a better world. With an unwavering commitment, they crafted bespoke stationery loved by brands worldwide, proving that sustainability and style could coexist.
A vision took shape in their minds – to reduce wood-based paper waste and post-consumer waste by 20% before 2022, a promise to the Earth itself. The heart of their creations beat with empowerment as they nurtured rural communities in South India. Fairness and honesty flowed through their veins, crafting a self-sustaining ecosystem that uplifted the underprivileged.
With Pepaa, shifting to sustainable stationery wasn't about changing user behavior; it was about aligning with the Earth's heartbeat. Pre and post-consumer waste found new life in the hands of Pepaa artisans, who wove discarded paper and textile waste into exotic, plantable stationery. A cycle of creation, use, and growth was born – Zero Waste, and Climate Positive.
Seeds were sown, both literally and metaphorically, as organic, untreated seeds were embedded into each piece, ensuring that every discarded sheet held the potential for rebirth. Their products breathed life into the concept of 'Living Stationery,' where new life sprouted from every page, making the planet a little greener with each stroke of a pen.
Pepaa's commitment transcended the ordinary. The stationery was not merely utilitarian; it was a canvas of branding, aesthetics, and creativity. It was biodegradable and plantable, meant to return to the Earth as flourishing vegetation. Natural colors adorned each creation, devoid of harmful chemicals. Even the act of discarding was a gift, as carefully chosen seeds thrived even in landfills.
Their story was an ode to reduced carbon footprints, as they transformed landfill-bound waste into sustainable treasures. Pepaa was a promise of renewal, a testament that sustainable manufacturing could coexist with stunning design. Their technology was revolutionary, turning even cow dung into stationery, an embodiment of their ethos.
Beauty resonated from the inside out. Proprietary technology met bespoke designs, a fusion of innovation and artistry that adorned both the product and its packaging. Pepaa was more than a brand; it was a philosophy etched into every fiber, every seed, and every stroke.
Their ethical commitment was their strength. Certified by EN71-3 Safety Standard, phytosanitary regulations, and SEDEX as an ethical company, Pepaa stood as a symbol of responsibility and integrity.
Pepaa's story was more than words; it was a testament to human determination, nature's resilience, and the power of unity. It was a chapter of hope, written on pages made from discarded remnants and bound with seeds of change. And as the world turned its attention towards them, Pepaa welcomed all, inviting them to join in the world of sustainable stationery, where every stroke, every thought, and every act whispered to the Earth that a better tomorrow was possible.
