About La Fabrica

Once upon a time, nestled in the vibrant and picturesque region of South Goa, India, there existed a company with a profound vision - LaFabrica Craft Private Limited. Established in 2020, this company was not your ordinary enterprise; it was a beacon of innovation, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility.

LaFabrica Craft was on a mission to transform the way we interacted with the environment. Their story began with a simple belief: lasting memories should be created, not landfills. They believed in crafting products that spoke to the heart, products that were not just beautiful but also kind to the Earth.

At the helm of this eco-conscious revolution was Sachin Gangadharan, a man with a multifaceted skill set. He was not just the CEO and founder of LaFabrica; he is a Biodegradable Packaging Design & Manufacturing Specialist, a Functional Fold Explorer, an Artist, an Architect, and an Environmental, Social, and Economical Sustainable Material Researcher. With such a diverse background, Sachin was well-equipped to lead the charge for eco-friendly products.

LaFabrica's journey was a symphony of dedication and ingenuity. Their commitment to the environment was evident in their offerings - custom-made stationeries, paper bags, and packaging. These weren't your run-of-the-mill products; they were meticulously designed and crafted to be both functional and luxurious.

One of their standout creations was the heavy-duty paper bag, a true work of art handmade in India. It was not just a bag; it was a statement. Elegant, eco-friendly, and capable of carrying up to 10 kg, it was a perfect embodiment of LaFabrica's ethos.

But LaFabrica didn't stop at bags and stationeries. They ventured into groundbreaking territory, developing fully biodegradable shampoo sachets and chutney packets. These weren't your ordinary sachets; they were made from a natural biopolymer derived from organic substances like corn and tapioca starch, seaweed, and even cow milk protein, known as casein.

What set LaFabrica apart was their collaboration with Phitons Bioengineering, a Bengaluru-based biotechnology company. Together, they created 'Phimer,' a material that degraded in just 90 days, leaving no harm to the environment. This was a significant step forward in reducing single-use plastics.

In a world where most biopolymers were imported and expensive, LaFabrica stood tall as a pioneer in sustainable alternatives. They experimented with bamboo, banana fiber, coconut husk, and paper or cardboard, continually pushing the boundaries of what was possible.

One of their standout innovations was a paper beverage container designed for food delivery or takeaway orders. It came with a lid that interlocked on its own, eliminating the need for plastic tape. This container was lined with a thin biopolymer film made of polylactic acid derived from corn starch, adding another layer of eco-friendliness to the product.

Sachin Gangadharan's journey had come full circle. From biodegradable paper carry bags and pouches to innovative packaging solutions, LaFabrica was a testament to the power of conscious entrepreneurship. Their patented bags, capable of carrying up to 20 kg of weight, were a symbol of strength in sustainability.

LaFabrica Craft Private Limited had not just designed products; they had crafted a better future for the planet. They were more than a company; they were the architects of change, the custodians of a greener tomorrow. And as their story continued to unfold, they hoped to inspire the world, one eco-friendly creation at a time.
